The beginning
A love of music and making things together
My journey in sound started simply, with a love of music and a group of friends who wanted to create together. I wanted to build something we could all share: a space to make music, work on projects, perform at our own parties and events, and grow as individuals. Not chasing fame, just chasing the feeling of making something real, together. That desire to make music more accessible, more fun and more collaborative for the people around me is still what drives everything I do.
The shift
From hobby to profession
The shift from hobby to profession happened organically. I started getting invited to projects outside my circle, working with people who were serious about their craft. My first steps as a live sound engineer opened up a whole new world. New projects, new people, new challenges. What I discovered was that the same thing that drove me from the beginning, helping others get the best out of what they're creating, translated perfectly into a professional context. Every event, every show, every session was a chance to make someone else's vision sound exactly the way they imagined it.
Film and composition
From the boom mic to the full soundtrack
My path into film and composition started on set, literally holding the boom mic as an assistant field recorder. I worked my way up until I was handling full location sound independently. It was at Kinneret College that I began building complete soundtracks, and that opened a door I never wanted to close. One of my most meaningful projects came through a bandmate: a collaboration with the Ga'aton Youth Dance Company, combining live drumming, dance and original music into a single art piece. Seeing that work selected for festivals and competitions was humbling. There is something extraordinary about knowing that a piece of you is out there in the world, helping other artists tell their story.
Research and design
How sound behaves in space
My final project at Kinneret College studied how brass instruments behave differently across acoustic environments, and that research cracked open a world I couldn't stop exploring. Combined with my experience building music studios, I became fascinated by how sound waves behave in physical space and what that means for the listener's experience. That curiosity led me naturally into sound design and synthesis, creating sonic environments for film, building atmosphere for live shows, shaping the emotional world of a performance. Whether it was a classical concert, a rock show or a film score, I was always asking the same question: how does this sound make people feel, and how can I make that feeling more powerful?
What's next
A new chapter in Australia
Australia found me at the right moment. A place to breathe, reset and prepare for the next chapter, continuing to create, collaborate and explore the world of acoustics. The journey is just getting started.
